Following its successful concerts in Brussels and Košice, the 2005 European Stars Tour gave two performances in Prague, namely in the Žofín Palace. Both concerts at Žofín presented Karel Gott in great shape, which was appreciated not only by the audiences but also by sixty-five members of the Academic Song and Dance Group of the Russian Army known as the Alexandrovs and eighty-five members of the Grand Žofín Palace Orchestra under the baton of František Preisler. Preisler and Karel Gott prepared a truly splendid repertoire for the 2005 European Stars Tour, giving Karel an opportunity to sing songs such as Dein ist mein ganzes Herz, Tiše den zhasíná (In The Still Of The Night), Když jsem já byl tenkrát kluk (Hier encore - Yesterday When I Was Young) and Má první láska se dnes vdává (You´re Such A Good Looking Woman). Žofín also witnessed Karel Gott’s premiere performance of the This Is The Moment aria from Jekyll & Hyde, an American musical, which is certain to remain among the core pieces of his repertoire. Karel also gave two duets: one with Lucie Bílá - Navrať se k růžím and one with Ukrainina soprano Marina Vyskvorkina – aria All I Ask Of You from the The Phantom Of The Opera musical. Karel Gott’s performance together with the Alexandrovs of songs Be My Love, Kalinka (with the soloist of the Alexandrovs Vadim Ananjev) and Čas růží (Delilah) provided the audiences with a truly unique musical experience.
