On Monday, October 3, 2005, Karel Gott met with American musical authors – the composer Frank Wildhorn and the lyricist Jack Murphy from whom he received three songs composed especially for him. Karel Gott went to the meeting with the conductor František Preisler, the lyric writer Michael Prostějovský and dr. Jan Adam and Lukáš Fronk, the former two representing the link www.karelgott.com. The photos taken during this event can be found in our Photogallery. Inspired by the Viennese meeting, Karel Gott waited no longer than October 4 to appear at Studio A of the Czech Radio company where he recorded a song called Jekyll and Hyde (This Is The Moment) from Frank Wildhorn’s and Leslie Bricusse’s musical Jekyll & Hyde. The Czech version of the song was written by Michael Prostějovský. Go to the Czech version of our Jukebox to listen to the sample track. In the days to come, Karel plans to cut the Czech version of the song The Music Of The Night from The Phantom of the Opera whose Czech version was prepared by Prostějovský under the title Múzy nejdou spát.
