Karel Gott returned from negotiations with his parental recording company Koch Universal of Germany with news that is more than favorable. He informed us enthusiastically: "My latest album with new songs called Ich hab gelernt zu lieben was released in Germany in the year 2003. Well, I am not counting in the album Let´s Swing - Stars im Big Band Sound that was published last year and on which I performed only three songs, specifically Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Mrs. Robinson and In The Still Of The Night. Being well aware of the crisis the world’s recording industry is going through, I did not expect to cut any kind of record for Munich’s Koch Universal within such a short period of time. The greater my surprise was when I was told in Munich that I would record an album this year! What is it going to be? Cult songs from fairy tales that are popular in Germany (Where Is the End Of the Deep Blue Sky from the fairy tale film Three Wishes For Cinderella) and from television series for children. As part of the project I will sing the cover melodies for the series whose music was composed by Karel Svoboda (156-part series Bee Mája and the series Nils Holgersson, Pinocchio or Robinson Crusoe). We also agreed to prepare a special CD project for the year 2007 when I am going to celebrate the 40th anniversary of my cooperation with the German recording market. I signed my first contract with the recording concern Polydor of Hamburg in the year 1967. Would you like to known more? Well, I am not going to spill the beans because I wish you had something to look forward to". Thank you, Karel. We will stay tuned!
